Liza is the Research Director at The Messina Group.
She handles political and opposition research, speech and media prep, candidate and client vetting, and supports a variety of client projects within TMG’s portfolio.
Liza joined The Messina Group in 2015 after working for Governor Terry McAuliffe on the scheduling and advance team. Prior to her time in Richmond, she worked as a staff assistant in the offices of Senator Tim Kaine and his predecessor, Senator Jim Webb, in Washington.
Liza graduated from the University of Iowa with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. An Alexandria, VA native and TMG’s 2017 Fantasy Baseball champion, Liza lives in D.C. where she evangelizes for all D.C.-based pro sports teams and the Iowa Hawkeyes (12 converts and counting.)
