Sourav leverages his experience at the highest levels of the US federal government and the private sector to advise investors and corporate clients on navigating US public policy to mitigate risk and achieve growth.
Sourav Bhowmick leads Global Counsel’s Global Investor Services in the US and North America. He is also a member of the firm’s Climate, energy, and net-zero practice.
He was most recently at the US Department of the Treasury where he was Senior Advisor and Chief of Staff for Inflation Reduction Act Implementation. Earlier at Treasury, he served as Deputy Executive Secretary where he managed the domestic policy development and briefing process for Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen.
Prior to government service, Sourav was a management consultant in Deloitte Consulting’s strategy and operations group, leading client teams across a range of sectors including financial services, healthcare, consumer goods, hospitality, and non-profit. Earlier, he specialized in cross-border M&A and private equity mandates while at Brunswick Group. Sourav is a term member on the Council on Foreign Relations. He previously held board roles at Minds Matter of NYC and the Stanley Isaacs Center.
At GC, Sourav works with private equity firms and other investors to identify risk and opportunities across a wide range of policy and regulatory issues in the US and North America.
