Annie is the Vice President of Creator Strategy at The Messina Group.
Annie helps campaigns, advocacy organizations, regulated industries, and brands use trusted messengers to drive real persuasion. She specializes in building creator programs and networks that move audiences who have left legacy media behind.
Annie built her expertise as Director of Digital Strategy for Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro, where she architected and led the only Office of Digital Strategy in any U.S. Governor’s Administration and scaled a nationally recognized creator program to more than 1,000 content creators, spanning nano-creators to 10M+ accounts. She grew Shapiro’s cross-platform presence to over 3M followers and led the digital response to the I-95 rebuild, engaging 150+ influencers for 10M+ views during the 12-day moment. The Philadelphia Inquirer called the operation a “social media machine.”
Annie previously directed Shapiro’s campaign digital program in 2022, where she built the foundations of the creator program, managing a $9M budget and setting a state record for digital fundraising. Before that, she ran digital media strategy across display, video, social, search, CTV, and OOH for the DCCC’s IE and led digital strategy for campaigns across the country.
Annie holds an MA (Hons) in International Relations from the University of St Andrews.
