Voters, consumers, and investors are increasingly asking AI what a candidate believes, whether a product is safe, or what a company stands for–and trusting the answer they get.
That makes AI more than a tool for communicators. It is becoming a new first reader: absorbing what campaigns and companies publish, then compressing it into the answers people use to form opinions.
In the latest piece on The Messina Memo, TMG and Greenbrier partner Adrian Durbin argues that communicators need to rethink how they write for this new filter. The old rules still matter, but they are no longer enough. Headlines need to carry the message. Structure needs to tell AI what matters. Key claims need to be front-loaded. FAQs need to answer the questions people are already asking.
The opportunity is clear: audit what AI says about you today, then build content that helps it get the story right.
