SETH IS CHIEF ANALYTICS OFFICER AT THE MESSINA GROUP, bringing over eight years’ experience in corporate and political data to TMG. He works with clients around the world and across our practice areas to help address their unique challenges and ensures they are using the most accurate information in their decision-making.
Seth is part of the senior management team and oversees TMG’s analytics department, which designs and implements all of the company’s analyses, tools, and products. He joined the political world in 2012, working on the internal polling and analytics team for President Obama’s reelection campaign. Prior to that, he worked in healthcare and business analytics. Since joining TMG, he has run randomized experiments, built predictive models, and conducted observational analyses for clients ranging from large multinational corporations to international political campaigns.
Before joining TMG, Seth served as a Senior Analytics Consultant to Benenson Strategy group, and a Survey Scientist at Civis Analytics, working to integrate time-tested research methods with rapidly developing technological tools. In addition to working with some of TMG’s highest-profile corporate clients, he has worked on three different political campaigns in the UK
Seth is a member of the American Political Science Association and the American Association for Public Opinion Research. He is an avid baseball fan (Let’s go Mets!), and his statistical analyses have been published on both Baseball Prospectus and Fangraphs. Seth’s love of baseball goes deeper than numbers though—he once spent a summer launching t-shirts from a pressure cannon at home games for the minor league Tacoma Rainiers. He holds an MA in Political Science from University of California Berkeley, and a BA in Psychology from Wesleyan University.
