Director of Business Development & Client Relations; Washington, D.C.
DARCY IS DIRECTOR OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT & CLIENT RELATIONS at The Messina Group. In this role, Darcy is responsible for managing relationships with TMG clients and expanding TMG’s work by identifying new business opportunities and strategic partnerships for the firm. She also oversees strategic investment ventures for the company, allowing TMG to take on clients and causes about which the company is most passionate.
Darcy is part of TMG’s senior management team, coordinating the firm’s client services and business development efforts. Her focus is the firm-wide effort to prioritize improved client services, satisfaction and retention. She also manages the process by which the firm determines additional services of value to existing clients. Darcy is the principal contact within TMG for client inquiries, requests and assistance.
Darcy’s five years’ of experience with TMG have included expanding roles and responsibilities, most recently serving as Chief of Staff to the firm’s CEO for the last three years. Her tenure and institutional knowledge of TMG give her a valuable understanding of the firm’s mission, capabilities, and growth.
Prior to joining the firm, Darcy’s professional experience included serving as a Field Organizer in the Fairfax, Virginia office of Organizing for America (OFA) and as Ward Captain for the campaign of a candidate seeking an open seat on the Washington, DC City Council.
Darcy is a 2012 graduate of the University of Georgia. She holds a B.A.J. degree from the Grady School of Journalism and Mass Communication, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the School of Public and International Affairs. While she roots for Washington’s Nationals and Redskins, Darcy is first and foremost a Georgia Bulldogs fan.
