Ty joined The Messina Group after guiding political and communication strategy at the highest levels of government and campaigns.
Ty focuses on domestic political activity, paid communications plans, policy advocacy work, and campaign strategy. At The Messina Group, he has advised Democratic campaigns and party committees as well as Fortune 100 corporations, advocacy coalitions, Super PACs, and ideological organizations.
Before joining The Messina Group, Ty most recently served as Director of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee’s independent expenditure where he was responsible for developing and executing an $80 million paid communication campaign in 31 congressional districts across the country. Ty previously served as Campaign Director for Senate Majority PAC helping implement a $75 million paid communications effort in key Senate races across the country. Ty was also responsible for running the Democratic War Room during the passage of the ACA. He has also held top positions on Presidential and Senate campaigns as well as serving as the top communications staffer for several United States Senators.
Ty lives in Alexandria, VA and enjoys doing CrossFit. He holds a Master’s Degree in Political Science and International Relations from The University of Montana.
